We hope all Westside readers\nare keeping well during this difficult time. The affect of Covid-19 is still\nbeing felt world-wide and financial markets have been volatile, as you would\nexpect in times of uncertainty, with many sectors and funds being adversely\nimpacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Hamnett Wealth Management,\nour investment philosophy has always been to look to the long term.  We\nhave never attempted to predict the immediate path of the stock markets and we\nare not about to start now.  Over the last 30 years, we have witnessed several\nglobal crises. Each one different from the last. However, what we have learnt\nfrom all of them is to keep calm and endure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be those of you\nwho want to \u2018do something\u2019 but often the best, and hardest, option is to do\nnothing. Whilst uncertainty can create anxiety, don\u2019t be tempted to make\nany rash decisions.  We are in constant contact with the fund management\ngroups and the over-riding sentiment that we are hearing is that Covid-19 will\nhave an impact on all businesses \u2013 some more than others.   Therefore\nwe are currently looking at the possibilities and focusing on those companies\nthat can weather this storm and will continue to adjust our portfolios over\ntime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
